Eric Bolling asks why Fox News isn’t backing Newsmax against DirecTV

After Newsmax’s Eric Bolling talking to Rep. Jeff Van Drew about DirecTV dropping from the conservative network, he challenged Fox News not to talk about it.

DirecTV cut Newsmax from the lineup earlier in the week, citing a fee dispute. The move drew objections from conservatives and Republicans, including from former president Donald Trump.

Some Republicans in Congress have surfaced the idea of hearings over the move, a position Rep. Van Drew reiterated to Bolling The balance.

Van Drew said this wasn’t just a business move, but “crude politics” and “censorship” on DirecTV’s part.

“We need justice and freedom of speech. I believe Congress has an absolute responsibility to look into this,” he said.

After the news broke on Newsmax, DirecTV announced adding right grid The First to the channel’s lineup, a move that The First stars Dana Loesch the said shows that “no one was censored.”

However, Bolling claimed on his show this week that “low-rated liberal news outlets” are have paid the fees in question, while “highly rated conservative channels are the ones getting cut”.

Bolling asked if Van Drew would continue the hearings, and the congressman said “yes, I will.”

After concluding the lengthy discussion, Bolling pointed out that when One America News (OAN) was rejected, Newsmax spoke up.

“We stood up for the OAN. When the OAN was deplatformed, we stood up for them. So it’s not about that. It’s not just about us,” he said.

He then challenged Fox News to speak on behalf of Newsmax.

“By the way, where are you Fox? And you Fox?” he asked. “How about standing up for us! We did it for OAN.
